Free Your Mind: Meditations to Build Inner Peace

By learning to take control of our thoughts and emotions with mindfulness meditation, we can free ourselves from unpleasant experiences and find deep peace. In this class series we will learn a sequence of meditations that will establish the foundation for deep happiness in our minds.

Suitable for everyone, these walk-in classes offer simple, practical methods to improve the quality of our lives and develop inner peace. These classes focus on using Buddhist understanding to help us solve our daily problems, let go of negative minds and find the lasting happiness we seek.

This class will include guided meditation, a short teaching, and time for questions. This series is appropriate for beginners and chairs will be provided. You do not need to be Buddhist to benefit from or attend these classes, they are open to everyone. Attend the entire series or drop in as your schedule allows.

About the Teacher

Kelsang TabkayKelsang Tabkay is an American Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center South Carolina. He has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for many years. Tabkay travels regularly throughout the Southeast, presenting Buddhism and meditation in an accessible and clear way, dedicating himself to bringing peace into the hearts of others. He previously served as the Education Program Coordinator at KMC South Carolina.
