Gen Kelsang Nyema

Resident Teacher

Gen Kelsang Nyema is an American Buddhist nun who ordained under Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in July 2004. Before coming to Ganden Center, she was the Education Program Coordinator and a branch teacher for several years in Atlanta at Kadampa Meditation Center Georgia. In the fall of 2008, she was requested to become the Resident Teacher of Ganden Center. Since then, she has taught extensively in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia.

Kelsang Tabkay

Kelsang Tabkay

Education Program Coordinator and Branch Teacher

Kelsang Tabkay is from Greenville, SC, and has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism since about 2008. In 2013, he ordained as a Buddhist monk. Tabkay is Ganden Center‘s primary children’s teacher and also teaches a number of classes for adults.

Kris Dennis

Kris Dennis

Teen Class Teacher

Kris Dennis is a long-time member of Ganden Center’s Foundation Program study class and has been the branch teacher in Aiken since 2012. Professionally, Kris is a quality control manager at Wyatt Seal.

Sean has been a member of Ganden Center’s Foundation Program since 2009. Sean is married and a father of two.

Mark Gould

Mark Gould

Branch Teacher, Aiken

Mark has been a part of Ganden Center since 2002. He has taught numerous classes and workshops both at the Center and around the region. A member of Foundation Program, Mark is married and works as a warehouse manager.

Larry Linke

"Just Breathe" Teacher

Larry Linke has been a Foundation Program student since 2006. Larry is married and is a retired businessman.

Sharon Lovich

Sharon Lovich

Branch Teacher, Asheville

Before Sharon moved to Asheville in 2011, she volunteered as the Education Program Coordinator for several years at Kadampa Meditation Center New York, where she also guided retreats and taught classes. Today, Sharon is a part of Ganden Center’s Foundation Program and teaches our Asheville branch class. Sharon and her husband have one son.

Paula Lozano

Paula Lozano

"Simply Meditate" Teacher

Paula has been a member of Foundation Program since 2011. She is a Ph.D. student at the University of South Carolina studying epidemiology.

Frances McLeod

Frances McLeod

Branch Teacher, Charleston

Frances has been a part of Ganden Center since 2002 and previously served as the Center’s Education Program Coordinator. She is a member of Foundation Program and has been the branch teacher in Charleston since 2010. Frances and her partner have one son.

Dorothy Stafford

Dorothy Stafford

"Simply Meditate" Teacher

Dorothy Stafford has been a part of Ganden Center since 2009. She has also taught in Camden, SC, and in South Carolina correctional institutes. Professionally, Dorothy prepares taxes.
