Living from the Heart: Buddha’s Teachings on Love
What does it mean to live from the heart? Living, growing, and changing from the heart means that we are taking Buddha’s teachings on more than a merely intellectual, “living from the head” level.
During this series in particular, we’ll learn how to make our love for others less of an intellectual abstraction and more of a heartfelt feeling, despite the sometimes difficult circumstances we may encounter with others.

Sometimes we feel that our home and family life are “in the way” of our spiritual aspirations and goals. As a result, we think that because we work, have family relationships and responsibilities we can’t possibly have a deep and inspiring spiritual practice. Instead, we think, we must choose one or the other — a family life, or a spiritual life, but not both. In this series we will look at how we can transform our family life into an opportunity for meaningful spiritual growth.
Three of the classes in this 5-week series will be taught by Sharon Lovich, an experienced Kadampa practitioner, teacher, and mother. The remaining two classes in the series will be group discussions facilitated by local students.
