Beginner’s Meditation Retreat

Join us to learn this simple but profound meditations finding peace through developing a kind heart. These meditations have so many benefits! They deepen our relationships, bring profound peace, and are healing to the body and mind. Everyone is welcome. No previous meditation experience is required.

Suitable for beginners and also for those wanting to refresh their meditation practice, these meditation weekends are a great way to learn basic meditation techniques, and to improve and deepen our experience of meditation. It is highly recommended to attend all sessions to receive the most benefit.

Retreat Schedule:

Session 1: 10am – 10:45am: Finding a sense of connection

Session 2: 11am – 11:30am: Developing the heart of compassion

Session 3: 12pm – 12:45pm: Giving love

About the Teacher

Kelsang TabkayKelsang Tabkay is an American Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center South Carolina. He has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for many years. Tabkay travels regularly throughout the Southeast, presenting Buddhism and meditation in an accessible and clear way, dedicating himself to bringing peace into the hearts of others. He previously served as the Education Program Coordinator at KMC South Carolina.
