Welcome, First-Time Visitors!

We’re Happy You’re Here

Thank you for visiting our website — we’re glad you’re interested in developing inner peace. We know that you probably have a lot of questions, and we look forward to answering them.  If this page doesn’t answer your questions, please email us at ganden@meditationinsouthcarolina.org or call us at 803-200-2115.  You can also check out our Frequently Asked Questions page.

What We Do

Our main emphasis at Ganden Center is our wide variety of weekly meditation classes.  If you live in the Columbia area, click here to learn more about classes at Ganden.  If you live somewhere else in South Carolina, North Carolina, or Georgia, click here to see where else we offer classes in the region.

If by some chance you don’t live in the Southeast at all and you’ve Googled onto this page looking for information about meditation and/or Buddhism, we suggest visiting the Kadampa.org page to find out if there’s a Kadampa Buddhist Center near you.

All of our classes include guided meditation, practical teachings for daily life, and time for discussion.

Retreats & Workshops

We also hold regular special events, including meditation retreats and workshops.  Use the menu above to find special events in your area.

Time for Daily Meditation Practice

We offer prayers and silent meditation seven days per week at Ganden Center.  Check our calendar to see when these practices happen, or visit the page on chanted meditations to learn more about the various meditation practices we do.

Who We Are
