Do you sometimes find yourself in situations where it seems impossible to keep a happy mind? We may feel hurt by someone we love, or struggle to not get annoyed at those we live or work with. When we feel harmed by someone, our habitual reactions may be upset, stress, anger and a wish to retaliate. But over time we can see that these responses don’t lead to the peaceful or harmonious relationships we want.
Kelsang Jangchen will explore methods that allow us to be free from anger and resentment, without repressing our feelings or taking them out on others. The practice of patient acceptance, when combined with wisdom and compassion, is the most direct and effective way to work with our unhappy feelings, learn from them, and then heal our mind and our heart so that we can finally get some peace.
This weekly class is based on the book How to Solve Our Human Problems by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
