Anxiety and stress are increasingly common problems for people in our busy, modern world. Meditation is an effective way to deal with negative states of mind and create a sense of peace and mental freedom. Through learning meditation and mindfulness techniques we learn to control our mind, rather than allowing our mind to control us. By accepting our painful feelings rather than being panicked by them, we can keep a calm mind in all situations. In this day course discover how to have a happy, anxiety-free life. This course is appropriate for beginners. Chairs will be provided.

About the Teacher

Kelsang TabkayKelsang Tabkay is an American Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center South Carolina. He has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for many years. Tabkay travels regularly throughout the Southeast, presenting Buddhism and meditation in an accessible and clear way, dedicating himself to bringing peace into the hearts of others. He previously served as the Education Program Coordinator at KMC South Carolina.
