Heart Jewel: The Essential Practices of Kadampa Buddhism

In this half day course, we will explore the essential daily practice of Kadampa Buddhists worldwide that have been passed down for generations. By learning to correctly engage our minds in these precious Heart Jewel prayers, we can naturally and easily make progress in our practice of meditation on the stages of the path to enlightenment (lamrim). This commentary will include some of the essential instructions of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s latest book, the Oral Instructions of the Mahamudra. Everyone is welcome!

Course Schedule:

Session 1: 10:00am – 11:30am — Connecting with limitless wisdom and bliss

Session 2: 11:45am – 1:15pm — Relying on a Dharma Protector

About the Teacher

Kelsang TabkayKelsang Tabkay is an American Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center South Carolina. He has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for many years. Tabkay travels regularly throughout the Southeast, presenting Buddhism and meditation in an accessible and clear way, dedicating himself to bringing peace into the hearts of others. He previously served as the Education Program Coordinator at KMC South Carolina.
