Silent Tranquil Abiding Retreat – Saturday Only

$75.00

Teachings and meditations for everyone with modern Buddhist monks, Gen Kelsang Tabkay and Gen Kelsang Norbu
Saturday, May 16 at KMC North Carolina (Charlotte, NC)

Would you like to do a silent meditation retreat, but can’t swing the whole weekend?  You might want to take advantage of this opportunity to do a one day retreat during this weekend retreat.  The emphasis will be on training in meditation in several sessions, following the instructions you learned during the concentration retreat on how to attain tranquil abiding.  In between sessions you can enjoy the beautiful meditation center, neighborhood and parks within walking distance.

The benefits of training in meditation in silent retreat conditions are many. Maintaining verbal silence and physical isolation with a spiritual motivation makes it easier to recognize and reduce more subtle distractions. With our mind clearer, our meditations can lead to deeper insights and experiences than in daily life alone.

Training in Concentration Retreat (Part 2) – Because you attended a training in concentration retreat or a tranquil abiding retreat in the past you have the option to do a one day retreat.  This offer is by invitation only because you will miss the introduction, Therefore, it is important that you already have a meditation object and are familiar with how to train in tranquil abiding before you arrive.

Participants are encouraged to prepare for this retreat by training in meditation on a daily basis until the retreat.
