What Matters Most? A Buddhist Perspective on Death and Dying
Meditation classes for everyone with modern Buddhist monk, Gen Kelsang Tabkay
Sundays in Columbia, 10:30am – 11:45am
In this four-week series, we will explore the profound wisdom of Buddha’s teachings on death and impermanence. Far from being morbid, meditating on death opens our hearts and minds to what matters most, giving us courage to live happily and meaningfully every day of our life.
Through practical teachings and guided meditations, each class will help us transform fear and uncertainty around death into clarity, peace, and inspiration for daily life. We will learn how contemplating impermanence brings freedom from fear, how to prepare our own mind for death, and how to support others who are dying with compassion and wisdom.
Everyone is welcome, whether you are new to meditation or have experience. Each class includes a teaching, a guided meditation, and time for discussion.
