Preparing for Buddhist Meditation
The Liberating Prayer
Saturday, June 17 @ 10am-1pm
Description
“Please give me the light of your wisdom to dispel the darkness of my mind and to heal my mental continuum.” – The Liberating Prayer, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
In all our classes, we do a short prayer called The Liberating Prayer. Some of the verses are easy to understand, but others are not so easy to understand, and some include hidden meanings that require commentary.
This prayer was composed by our Founder, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, to be used in our tradition as a way to help us connect with Buddha as a source of inspiration and peace.
Kelsang Jangchen will share some commentary to The Liberating Prayer, based on recent teachings she received in England, to help empower our meditations so they lead to more peace in our hearts and more happiness in our daily lives.
Everyone welcome.
