Every day we remember the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe-la, our Root Guru and Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition.

But on the auspicious day June 4, Venerable Geshe-la’s birthday and Turning the Wheel of Dharma Day, at Kadampa centres around the world, with minds of rejoicing and gratitude, we offer him our faith through using the special prayer Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples and collecting our Guru’s name mantra in a one-day retreat.

Everyone welcome; no prior experience necessary.

Session Schedule:

10am – 11:15am: Session 1
5pm – 6:15pm: Session 2
7pm – 8:30pm: Session 3

About the Teacher

Kelsang Tabkay has been a practitioner of Kadampa Buddhism and student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for 18 years. Ordained as a Buddhist monk in 2013, he has previously served as Resident Teacher of KMC South Carolina and KMC Phoenix, and guided many retreats at International Kadampa Retreat Center Grand Canyon.

He is known for giving accessible and practical teachings, dedicating himself to bringing peace into the hearts of others. He is currently education program coordinator of KMC North Carolina.
