As we all know, normally our need to escape from unpleasant feelings is so urgent that we become impatient and reactive and we do not give ourself the time to discover where our suffering is actually coming from. We think that things should be different from the way they are. We blame circumstances or other people for our unhappiness. What we need is the clarity and spaciousness of mind to see what is really binding us. Patient acceptance enables us to undo our suffering and creates the space for practical solutions to arise.
In this special full day meditation retreat, visiting Guest Teacher, Kadam Michelle Gauthier will give teachings and guide us in meditations from the extraordinary book How to Solve Our Human Problems, by the Buddhist Master Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. About the Teacher
This retreat will be taught by special guest Teacher, Kadam Michelle Gauthier.
Kadam Michelle is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Tampa Bay and has been a disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for more than 25 years. She is an inspiring example of Modern Buddhism in practice. She presents Buddha’s teachings with beautiful clarity, warmth and sincerity, skillfully guiding people from all walks of life to find inner peace and lasting happiness.
